진주시는 전통적인 선비문화의 역사를 기반으로 전통소목 가구가 대표적인 공예문화유산으로 잘 보존되어 현재에도 10여 곳의 소목공방이 활발히 운영되고 있다. ‘진주소목’의 브랜드화를 통해 진주시의 전통공예문화유산을 글로벌경쟁자산으로 발전시키고자 한다.
Jinju City is based on the history of traditional Seonbi Culture. Traditional wood furniture is well preserved as a representative craft cultural heritage of Jinju City, currently, about 10 joinery workshops are actively operating. Through the branding of ‘Jinju Somok’, we aim to develop Jinju City’s traditional craft cultural heritage into a global competitive cultural asset.
